A day for high schools

Here in T3chFest we have not forgotten that few years ago, we used to get amazed by the fast technological progress and get excited about trying any technological toy we have offhand. Well, in fact, this is something that is still happening to us…

We want to share our enthusiasm about the new technologies' advance with younger students. To this end, T3chFest has a specific day dedicated to informative conferences aimed to students who are currently in their high school last years.

Students will get to know at close hand the impact that technology and engineering have in our everyday life and in society. This immersion in technology will be done by means of formative talks and workshops conducted by speakers who are familiarized with technology and its use in their daily life.

Schedule

The day will be Friday, 23th February 2018 in the morning. It will take place in the Graduate Room, at Leganés Campus of University Carlos III of Madrid and in the classrooms for workshops.

From 9:30 to 14:00, students will have the opportunity to get to know:

  • Artificial intelligence, robotics or autonomous vehicles are some of the fields they will meet
  • An approximation to technology absolutely practical by means of our workshops
  • How to make a musical pencil or how to program their own 32bits game

In this edition format, same as in the last one, we will have two parallel tracks (talks and workshops), so we will create two groups. Each group will spend half of the morning in one track and there will be an interchange after the break, for every attendant to visit both tracks. The track dedicated to workshops, likewise, have several workshops for which we will divide the group again. Each workshop has a limited capacity of 40 people at most (some of them, less).
